Well, it’s not.
We’re long past the point where any of this dumpster fire presidency that we currently find our country consumed by is about ‘trickle-down” or any other such political ideology nonsense.
This is about your support of a man who, by his every action, is showing us that he’s not the President of the United States. He’s proudly showing himself to be the President of the White People of the United States.
The white supremacist Commander-In-Chief.
In an interview with Time magazine, trump made these comments:
“… I think there is a definite anti-white feeling in this country and that can’t be allowed either.”
“I don’t think it would be a very tough thing to address, frankly. But I think the laws are very unfair right now. And education is being very unfair, and it’s being stifled. “
“But if you look right now, there’s absolutely a bias against white and that’s a problem.”
His solution to this perceived national problem of racism against the white majority? Attack and remove anything related to DEI.
For those ignorant of the term, DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility), here is a very good summation from qualtrics.com: “DEI stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion. It’s the umbrella term for the programs, policies, strategies, and practices that implement a company’s mission to create and sustain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that respects and accommodates every employee’s: Ethnicity, Sexual orientation, Gender identity, Physical ability, Religion, Age, Marital status, Socioeconomic status, National origin, Veteran status.”
However, what DEI has come to mean with trump and his maga klan is wholly different. It’s an expletive that’s used against those that they feel are inferior, unqualified, and “bottom of the barrel”. It is primarily used against African-Americans, but is also used against women and others who are non-white and/or non-male. trump infamously used the term against Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her a DEI hire. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) has also had to respond (and brilliantly so) to ridiculous comments of being a DEI hire in House Committees.
However, the lowest point in this DEI ridiculousness occurred when trump blamed the mid-air collision of an American Airlines jet with a military helicopter on the Biden administration’s DEI policies. Per a White House memo, the previous administration “rejected merit-based hiring in favor of DEI, and specifically looked to recruit individuals with “severe intellectual” disabilities in the FAA.”
Both the pilot of the Blackhawk and the pilot of the American Airlines jet were white. And the air traffic controller was also white. But none of that mattered to anyone after the White House doubled down on their DEI lie.
A recent State House appointee openly stated in a past post on X that “Competent white men must be in charge if you want things to work. Unfortunately, our entire national ideology is predicated on coddling the feelings of women and minorities, and demoralizing competent white men.” There’s not even an attempt to cover their motives anymore. A white supremacist doctrine has unapologetically taken hold of the United States, and every minority group is going to suffer because of it.
So, yes. If you voted for trump – a man who still brags about making President Obama ‘show his papers’ – and don’t say anything about what is happening right now with attacks on minorities and the whitest administration we’ve seen in decades, then you’re clearly okay with what’s happening. You may not consider yourself ‘maga’, or racist, but it’s too late. That’s what you are.
And that picture at the top of this post? When I look at you, that’s what I see.
