The SFSU tennis courts are on the western edge of the SFSU campus, next to the SF State baseball field.� You cannot see these facilities from the road, since they are in a sunken area surrounded by trees. The tennis courts ARE visible from the SFSU parking lot / garage area.� This parking area is at the end of State Drive, a side street which intersects (T-fashion) with Lake Merced Boulevard. Parking without a permit can cause your vehicle to be ticketed if they are checking. Temporary permits are available in the garage structure for a minimal cost.
FROM THE NORTH: head south on 19TH AVENUE and turn right at WINSTON DRIVE, the major entrance into Stonestown Shopping Center.� Stay on Winston Drive - it will wind through Stonestown and go downhill, ending at LAKE MERCED BOULEVARD.� Turn left onto Lake Merced Boulevard and get in the left lane.� Take the very next left (STATE DRIVE) and proceed to the garage area.
FROM MIDTOWN: head west on MARKET STREET, continuing up PORTOLA.� Go all the way until Portola terminates in a major 5-way intersection at St. Francis Woods.� At this intersection, veer left onto JUNIPERO SERRA.� Turn right at WINSTON DRIVE (just past Ocean Blvd.), and proceed through Stonestown Mall.� Winston Drive ends at LAKE MERCED BOULEVARD.� Take a left on Lake Merced and the next left onto STATE DRIVE.� Proceed to the parking area.
FROM THE EAST BAY: take 101 SOUTH, then the 280 SOUTH split off towards Daly City.� You�ll begin passing various exits for Monterey Blvd, Ocean Avenue, City College/Geneva, etc.� Take the MISSION STREET / DALY CITY exit, which merges immediately into SAN JOSE AVENUE.� Get in the right lane.� You�ll immediately come to intersection with a gas station on your right.� Turn right at this intersection onto SAGAMORE.� A few blocks down, you take a slight right onto BROTHERHOOD WAY.� Take Brotherhood Way all the way west until it terminates at LAKE MERCED BOULEVARD.� Turn right (north) on Lake Merced Boulevard.� You�ll go past Parkmerced Housing development, then you�ll see a low-rise dormitory building followed immediately by STATE DRIVE on the right.� Turn right on State Drive and proceed to the parking area.
FROM THE SOUTH: take 280 north, keeping in the left lanes until 280 becomes HIGHWAY 1 (JUNIPERO SERRA HIGHWAY).� Get in the right lane and exit onto BROTHERHOOD WAY.� The Brotherhood Way exit is a curving, downhill ramp which goes back under Highway 1 and heads West.� Brotherhood Way ends in a T-Intersection at Lake Merced Boulevard.� Take a right on Lake Merced Boulevard.� As soon as you see a lowrise college dorm you�ll see STATE DRIVE.� Turn right on State Drive and head for the parking area.
